Everything you need to know about renting a Hall Estates student house near Edge Hill University.
Are bills included in the rent?
Yes. In every Hall Estates house and flat, your weekly rent includes gas, electricity, water and high-speed Wi-Fi — one simple payment with no surprise bills. A TV licence isn’t included, so you’ll need your own if you watch live TV or BBC iPlayer.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Not for 2027/28 if you reserve by 31 December 2026 — it’s a £0 deposit, with nothing to pay upfront. Our standard deposit is £200 per person.
How far are your houses from Edge Hill University?
All our student homes are in Ormskirk, roughly a 16 to 33-minute walk from the Edge Hill campus, or 7 to 11 minutes by bike. Each listing shows its own walking times to campus, the town centre, the nearest supermarket and Ormskirk station.
Do I need a guarantor?
Yes. We ask for a UK-based guarantor — usually a parent or guardian — for every tenant.
Are the houses furnished?
Yes. Our student homes come furnished, and every bedroom is a double. Many have en-suite bathrooms — check each listing for details.
Can we rent as a group of friends?
Absolutely. Our homes range from two-bedroom flats to a twelve-bedroom development, so there’s a size for most friendship groups. Use the bedroom filter above to find the right fit.
How do I book a viewing?
Choose a house, day and time on our Book a Viewing page, or message us on WhatsApp on 07771 606186. Viewings run Monday to Friday 10am–4pm and Saturday 10am–2pm.
How do I reserve a house?
Once you’ve viewed and chosen your house, get in touch by phone, WhatsApp or our contact page and we’ll talk you through reserving it and the next steps.
